DashReels carries a blunter English logline on other-language versions of the same series, and it gives away more of the shape: the deception of the golden egg and Elsa's sacrifice, after which the reign of death begins with her dragon husband and nine children. The trope tags line up with that, rebirth, betrayal, betrayed heroine, hidden power, reborn stronger, and a hidden dragon king.
Worth setting expectations. "Nagini" is a localisation rather than a translation: the supernatural half of this story sits with a dragon king, not with a shape-shifting snake, so it is not the Tamil television nagin format even though the title borrows its vocabulary.
A caveat about the number first: DashReels does not publish a hard episode count, and the 29 you see is calculated from the total runtime at about two minutes an episode. Close, not exact.

DashReels lists Karu Nagini as a Chinese production dubbed into Tamil, so there is an original Chinese title behind it. The best match we can find is 《蛇君老公甜又宠》, Shé Jūn Lǎogōng Tián Yòu Chǒng, a 2025 vertical micro-drama produced by Zhengzhou Tianqiao E-commerce and released on Tencent Video. Its own key art carries an English line: "My husband, the Snake Lord, is sweet and doting."
We are labelling that a strong match rather than a confirmed one, and it is worth being clear about the difference. What lines up is the plot, in four independent details: a golden egg swapped by the heroine's sister, her death as a result, a husband who turns out to be a dragon rather than a snake, and nine children. That is the same sentence DashReels prints as its own logline. The runtimes also agree at around 58 minutes. What is missing is any source that names both titles in one place, no distributor, wiki or database publicly connects the Tamil dub to the Chinese original.
On the same footing, that production's two credited leads are Mao Na (毛娜) and Sun Yixun (孙艺荀). Their lead billing is documented; which of them plays which role is our inference from a two-hander cast rather than something a source states, and the supporting cast is not published anywhere we could find. Note also that "Elsa" is the name DashReels uses in its English logline, not a name from the Chinese version, where the heroine is Lin Zhaozhao.
If that identification is right, it also flips the sibling order: in the Chinese version the heroine is the younger sister and her elder sister is the betrayer, the reverse of how the Tamil synopsis reads.
