Editorial policy

How the Fandom section is put together, and what you can hold us to.

Who writes this

The Fandom section is written and edited by the DashReels editorial team — the same people who programme the catalogue these articles cover. Every piece is reviewed by a second editor before it is published.

Articles carry the DashReels Editorial byline. Where a piece is the work of a named writer, that name will appear on it.

How shows are chosen

Everything recommended here is on DashReels. That is the honest framing: these are guides to our own catalogue, not a survey of everything made in the format. We say so rather than implying a wider field.

Ranked lists are ordered on editorial judgement — how well a series delivers the thing its readers came for — informed by what audiences actually finish. They are not paid placements, and nothing in this section is sponsored.

Where the details come from

Episode counts, cast lines, genres and artwork come from the DashReels catalogue itself, which is the primary source for our own titles. Where a piece discusses a show we do not carry, it is described from watching it.

Every recommendation links to the show so a reader can start episode one free and judge for themselves rather than taking our word for it.

Updates and corrections

Articles are revised as catalogues change — a series gains episodes, a title leaves. Any article edited after publication shows an “Updated” date, and that same date is published in the page's structured data.

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change.
